O/o the Manager, Mail Motor Service, Chennai under the aegis of the Department of Post, India has placed recruitment notice to invite applications from the competent and productive candidates for filling up the posts of Time Scale Driver, Welder (Skilled) and Painter (Skilled). Qualifications & Experience

1.    Candidates applying for the post of Time Scale Driver must have valid HMV driving licence with min. 4 years experience. Middle Standard passed candidate will be desirable.
2.    Candidates applying for the post of Welder & Painter must possess certificate in the respective trade from Govt. recognized Technical Institute.


All the cadres above will be entitled to receive Rs.5,200-20,200/- plus G.P Rs.1,900/- + allowances as monthly pay.

The Department of Posts India has issued a recruitment advertisement for Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistants / MTS/Postman Posts in the Karnataka Postal Circle. Applicants will be shortlisted for this recruitment through an Aptitude Test conducted by the Indian Post. All eligible candidates will be remunerated with INR. Rs 5200-20200 + GP of Rs 2400/- PM for Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant. Rs. 5200- 20200 + GP of Rs. 1800/- PM for Postman  and Rs.5,200 to 20,200 with Grand Pay Rs.2,000/- Per Month.

Age Bar:

Applicants’ age must strictly fall between the ages of 18 to 27 years. Those who do not accomplish this age limit will not be eligible for this recruitment. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories will be provided with suitable relaxation as per latest government rules.

Academic Requisites:

For Postal / Sorting Assistant : - Interested candidates must be in possession of their HSC (12th) level exam or equivalent qualification from any recognized College.

For Postman & MTS (Multi Tasking Staff) :-  Eligible candidates should have SSC (10th) level exam of any recognized Board Govt. of India.

Intimation Charges:

All interested unreserved (General & OBC) applicants are supposed to remit an Examination fee of INR.100/- through e-payment at any post office in Karnataka Circle for Resident of Karnataka candidates. Non Resident candidates for Rs.100/- Indian Postal Order in the favour of Chief postmaster General, Karnataka Circle Bangalore - 560001.

Examination Fee : Applicants have to 400/- for General / OBC (Unreserved) category candidates. No fees for Women (SC / ST) Reserved category candidates.

Procedure to Apply: 

The applicant must log in to the, The applicant has to fill the application form. The application after bank challan payment details has to be filled. Then the photo and sign has to be uploaded. After final submission the print out has to be taken and that has to be bought at the time of interview. The application can be filled lastly by 28-07-2014.
